This package currently fails to build and needs fixing, as xorg-font-utils no longer exists. See discussion on [arch-dev-public] mail list.

Please see IPA fonts and IPAex fonts's latest release note (ver. 003.03)[1][2]. Takao fonts shouldn't implement them yet.
As for IPA fonts for example, It means Takao doesn't follow the latest list of kanji for common use (常用漢字, Jōyō kanji) which Japan Government announces at least.

I think, there is no reason to use this fonts now.

** FYI **
This Takao fonts (derivatives of IPA fonts) has not been maintained for a long time despite the IPA fonts bumped newer version.
So you should consider the use of IPA fonts (otf-ipafont[1]) and IPAex fonts (otf-ipaexfont[2]) than this.
