Version 12.18 is a Windows only release.

Linux version 12.18 is here:

I flagged the package out-of-date because version 12.18 has been released by Opera, then I realized that it was for Windows only :(
Hopefully they won't forget Linux users...

Looks like opera-legecy does use ~/.opera-legacy/ by default. ;) So if you have your settings in ~/.opera/ make sure to move them to ~/.opera-legacy/ - extra command option are not required.

eworm: You're right, it indeed works like a charm, thanks again.
CAVT: New Opera seems to be using ~/.config/opera, so it shouldn't conflict with old Opera using ~/.opera. However, I didn't want to take any chances, so I renamed ~/.opera to ~/.opera-legacy and start old Opera using
opera-legacy -pd /home/<user>/.opera-legacy/

I currently have Opera 12.6 installed. By installing this package, will it override my current settings? I have customized it quite a lot and I wouldn't like to redo it. The idea is to have the legacy version and the the newest one as others said

Thanks, I'll try it tonight.

Please check out version 12.16.1860-2. Works like a charm in parallel to opera (and even opera-beta and opera-developer).

Not sure whether or not this is possible. But I will take a look.

Hi, how would you feel about making this package not conflict with opera from community (e.g. by installing it to /opt or something)?
