This package doesn't work since 1.9.0 (generic linux binaries are no longer distributed and Debian/Ubuntu packages are unusable here), it only works for older versions. There is a replacement package openttd-version. It however builds packages (that can coexist with each other) from sources.

Change "pkgver=1.4.0" to "pkgver=1.4.4" for current release.

Ah, yes, it does indeed
It was unclear from the title (and description)
...but i should have checked the PKGBUILD first :L

I know this. I try tu fix it, but the game need old libraries so you can have OTTD or actual system.
1.1.3 is fine.

I installed 1.1.2 (64-bit) with this package and I got this:
/usr/bin/openttd: line 2: ./openttd: Permission denied

Then I fixed that problem like this:
# chmod go+x /usr/share/openttd/openttd

Then I got this:
./openttd: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I think you are missing some dependencies.
