I'm sorry for being such a dork: I just noticed the following line when building another package:

-> Compressing man and info pages...

So apparently makepkg takes care of the compression.

It would be nice to have doc/osh.1 gzip'ed and installed as /usr/share/man/man1/osh.1.gz.

The package() function should also do a

ln -s /usr/bin/oil.ovm "$pkgdir/usr/bin/oil"

so that the user can easily use the oil language.

hi @wertercatt, ~/.config/oil is in the user's home directory. Its a big no-no of system-level packages to affect a user's home directory. Anything in there is always the user's responsibility. I will add a comment during package install mentioning oil config directory though :).

The PKGBUILD should create the ~/.config/oil directory when installing oil, as it's required to save command history.
