@fheday HDMI audio doesn't work for me as well with the latest Nvidia driver (440.82) and kernel (5.7.2). Why does it should be obsolete for kernels >= 5.4? Maybe some configuration required?

@Lander The source page says it should be obsolete for kernels >=5.4 as the HDA device is enabled per pci quirk. If not, use as a make-shift and report a bug to kernel bugzilla. I am disowning the package so you can own if you want.

@fheday HDMI audio doesn't work for me with the driver, at least not out of the box. I have the latest nvidia driver (extra/nvidia-dkms 440.82-1). Can't seem to find much documentation or notes that it would be baked in or how to enable it.

@ridgea I've noticed that the new nvidia driver already do a great job of enabling HDMI audio correctly, so I am actually considering asking for removal of the package, given that now this functionality is present in the driver.

@fheday could I ask you to update the package to the latest version from github?

I've needed to apply the following patch to successfully compile the package: https://github.com/hhfeuer/nvhda/files/4472426/nvhda.c.patch.txt

Also reported a issue on the project page: https://github.com/hhfeuer/nvhda/issues/22

Doesn't seem to work anymore on Kernel 4.20.11 and Nvidia 418.43-2. https://github.com/hhfeuer/nvhda/issues/12

The included systemd scripts are not working causing issues after waking your system from sleep

I have added this issue in the upstream git repo with a proposed fix

https://github.com/hhfeuer/nvhda/issues/5

Hey Severus15, I've just removed nvidia references , therefore I believe it should work. Let me know if it is okay now.
