I think I'd need to see a full output of your journal, or at least the pertinent parts, to have an understanding here. I can't reproduce the error on my own system.

any idea how to solve this?::

[main.cpp:190] ERROR: Unable to create interface wlan0
[main.cpp:223] ERROR: Startup error: missing super-user privileges ?

..this happens only while booting up. It works fine if i restart it later, even with NetworkManager and stopped. (these were checked with the proposed changes)

to auto enable redis.service we can add the following in ntopng@.service file::

Description=ntopng network traffic monitor

Added. Thanks for working through this with me.

libmariadbclient should be made a regular dependency ("/usr/bin/ntopng: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory")

Thank you! Sorry it took a bit.

I've got my PKGBUILD working except for, of all the things, the manpath is consistently wrong. Seems they have a --mandir option in configure, but it isn't changing anything to manually set it.
