@wespe Yes, pkgconf is a build dependency but it does not need to be explicitly listed. All packages in AUR assume that the base-devel group is installed for compilation. See also the AUR: Getting Started wiki page section.

But now that you mention it, I saw that the dependencies included two packages that are in base-devel: flex and bison. I have removed them and released 1.6.17-2.

I have also moved rrdtool from makedepends to depends as it is also needed to run the tool in addition to compiling it.

New version 1.6.15-4 is out.

This fixes the build issue reported by @starfry.

@starfry, thanks for reporting the issue and the fix. If you like, I can add you as a co-maintainer for this package.

Hi, I got a slightly different error today:

libtool: Version mismatch error. This is libtool 2.4.6, but the
libtool: definition of this LT_INIT comes from libtool
libtool: You should recreate aclocal.m4 with macros from libtool 2.4.6
libtool: and run autoconf again.

I fixed it by changing the PKGBUILD. From 'autoreconf' to 'autoreconf --force --install' which I did after reading

On the latest version archlinux, The package is not going to issue an error " error: version mismatch. This is Automake 1.1 but the definition used by this AM_INIT_AUTOMA comes from Automake 1.15. You should recreate aclocal.m4 with aclocal and run automake again
WARNING: 'automake-1.15' is probably too old."
my version automake 1.15.1
fixed run command autoreconf in src directory.

Sorry for the delay. I have updated the PKGBUILD with your suggested changes.

Are you interested in becoming a co-maintainer of this package?

There is a bug in upstream automake scripts so that parallel building does not work. This PKGBUILD patches the bug (and I've also cleaned it up a bit):
