Please remove fontconfig as a dependency. See Font package guidelines

I have a strange problem with this and at least one more nerd font package (fira-code). Some symbols seem to be missing (see starship's prompt default '>' sign), I have a weird rectangle instead. Funny thing is, when I install 'nerd-fonts-hack', those symbols start to work for both packages, this one and fira-code. Uninstall nerd-fonts-hack and boom, once again missing symbols. Also on my another machine (ubuntu 20.04) where I manually installed nerd fonts source code pro from github all symbols are shown properly.

xorg-font-utils package is dropped, please follow this: https://www.archlinux.org/todo/removal-of-xorg-font-utils-transitional-package/

Just remove xorg-font-utils from PKGBUILD and the packge is building OK.

Looks like xorg-font-utils is no longer a package - in fact you may be able to remove all dependencies.

Is it normal that circled numbers and/or characters does not work?

specter119 commented on 2018-10-14 08:32

I think should move wget to makedenpend.

Celti commented on 2018-10-02 17:32

This should use the release archive available at https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/releases/download/v2.0.0/SourceCodePro.zip instead of wgeting the individual fonts in prepare().
