@MartinX3 Absolutely fixed with version 1.3.5-8 - Great work, thank you very much.

Hey @viking777 You're welcome :)

Should be fixed now, the tiny "v" at the beginning of the tag versions number returned with the pkgver() function triggered a malfunction in the AUR version :D

@MartinX3 Thanks for working on the problem. The version shown in the pkgbuild and the version shown in the program itself are now the same 1.3.5-7. But the original problem remains my OS still believes it is version 1.3.5-1 and constantly displays the update warning. I completely uninstalled the program and removed all remaining files even down to icons. Shut the machine down, restarted and began the reinstall, the relevant lines from the install are here: Building moneymanagerex-git... ==> Making package: moneymanagerex-git 1.3.5-7 (Sat 28 Nov 2020 11:32:24 CET)

Then later Starting pkgver()... ==> Updated version: moneymanagerex-git v1.3.5-1

And finally ==> Finished making: moneymanagerex-git v1.3.5-1 (Sat 28 Nov 2020 11:37:18 CET)

So no change. It isn't a big deal, don't lose any sleep over it! It is just an annoyance having the constant update warning.

Thanks for trying anyhow.

@viking777 Now it should build the right version. But maybe you need to clean if it skips building because it claims that it is already built.

About the wrong version at the end: As far as I know since this package uses "pkgver()" to automatically build a new MMEX version if the tag changes, the version is autogenerated and does ignores what I write :)

pkgrel problem

I have recently switched to using the -git version of this package, and although it compiles and runs without problem, it constantly compiles the wrong package release. I compiled it manually and include the first and last lines of the output here: makepkg -s ==> Making package: moneymanagerex-git 1.3.5-6 (Fri 27 Nov 2020 14:22:34 CET)

==> Finished making: moneymanagerex-git v1.3.5-1 (Fri 27 Nov 2020 14:27:31 CET)

Somewhere along the line the package release number switches from 6 to 1 and therefore it constantly shows as an available update. The same happens if I use pamac to compile it.

I cant manually alter the pkgrel version in the pkgbuild because it is already at version 6.

Incidentally I have no idea if this is relevant, but running the program shows it to be neither 1.3.5-1 or 1.3.5-6, but 1.3.6-RC1.

Thank you for supporting this package.

That's an MMEX bug, please open a new issue ticket :) The old one got closed in 2019, because the newest response was from 2018, so they thought the problem as fixed.

I am no MMEX developer, so I can't fix it.

I have a problem with the MMEX program (in the official repository “moneymanagerex-1.3.3-3”), AUR (moneymanagerex-git 1.3.5-6)

The program does not work correctly, when you select any report the program crashes. =(

debug report we can find on link (created a thread on the forum manjaro) https://forum.manjaro.org/t/moneymanagerex-1-3-3-3-does-not-work-correctly-when-you-select-any-report-the-program-crashes/28203

The problem was discussed on https://github.com/moneymanagerex/moneymanagerex/issues/1473
