Do you have a proof of this dependance? I've molotov running without it and without problem.

There miss a dependencies : it should be added 'lib32-libxss'

Hi

You should remove any previously installed user data, due to the weird appimage install feature. This new version bypass it, thus after having removed the following files, all next release will go smoothly:

$ rm ~/.local/share/applications/appimagekit-Molotov.desktop
$ cd ~/.local/share/icons
$ find . -type f -name '*Molotov.png' -exec rm {} \;

This should fix your problem.

The app icon disapeared for me in 1.1.0

Nope still the same with the new version... Really can't recall if I did specific changes on my system since it was working, well appart regular updates...

milouse commented on 2016-10-13 09:23

The new version didn't change anything? I added the desktop-file-utils and xdg-utils packages as dependancies, thus even if they were not present, they should be there now.

Tommy commented on 2016-10-12 19:57

@Milouse, not sure if they are already present in a KDE install.

On a kubuntu on a second PC they are not defaults. And Ubuntu and such installs more packages than Arch generaly.

You can launch it with DEBUG=1 ./<your molotov file> but I found nothing interesting for my Arch case.

Hello,

I got the exact same problem Tommy has, the process launches but no window opens, and as Tommy I managed to make it work one month ago too. Reinstalled my cpu and since then can't get it to work, not sure what is different with my previous config...
I Run Archlinux with OpenBox.

All these binary are packaged in desktop-file-utils and xdg-utils, which should already be on your system. I add them as dependancy with the new version.
