Now this package has a conflict with mingw-w64-crt:

mingw-w64-freeglut: /usr/i686-w64-mingw32/lib/libglut.a exists in filesystem (owned by mingw-w64-crt)

Interestingly this is only for 32-bit crt, the 64-bit crt lacks libglut.a. I am not able to fix this as I am too busy this summer, so I have disowned the package.

hello, glut.h is missing as you forgot the -D:

hello I think the glut.h patch may be useless since it seem you can set FREEGLUT_REPLACE_GLUT=ON

this patch is needed to build with gcc 10:

@xantares fixed. Thanks for the help!

is it possible to use FREEGLUT_REPLACE_GLUT=ON ? this way we'd have glut.h

Since I am no longer using this package, I have disown the package. Hope that someone will adopt it.

I think I found why you removed the static lib: there a problem with it, it seems it doesn't export all symbols.
You can pass --disable-static instead.

please use the native package description:
Provides functionality for small OpenGL programs (mingw-w64)

why do you remove i686 statics:
rm "${pkgdir}/usr/i686-w64-mingw32/lib/libglut.a
