I confirm that the package can be built by just changing the version to 2.2.4, and changing the line

rm "$pkgdir/usr/${_arch}/bin/xmlwf"

to

rm "$pkgdir/usr/${_arch}/bin/xmlwf.exe"

in the package() function

If anyone is having issues it's because sourceforge is having issues. I had to change the source mirror to this:

http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/repo/pkgs/expat/expat-2.1.0.tar.gz/dd7dab7a5fea97d2a6a43f511449b7cd/expat-2.1.0.tar.gz

hello,
could you use the mingw-w64-configure package to pass the right compilation flags ?

carstene1ns commented on 2014-11-22 13:07

This executes the xmlwf executable with wine once build (if installed). Consider to disable building it, as it is deleted afterwards anyway.

Alright, that makes sense. I appreciate your time.

Schala commented on 2013-10-27 23:47

I know and I'm planning to. However, look at how many mingw-w64-* packages I maintain. I have to do that to all of them, as well as my Free Pascal packages. I'm doing a cluster of them every now and then, so I'll eventually get to them all. I'm not bumping the package release number since it doesn't make sense to have to update if someone built it before the Pacman update.

hauzer commented on 2013-10-27 23:28

The target of the package isn't out of date, but the package itself is.
I won't reflag it, but you should really update that PKGBUILD.

Schala commented on 2013-10-27 20:59

It's not out of date though
