Thanks. 3.5.2-2 fixed the problem for me.

If I run R, I get /usr/lib/R/bin/exec/R: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory and if I start RStudio I get a black IDE with ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED in the center.

ls -l /usr/lib | grep libtinfo gives the following output:

-rw-r--r--   1 root root        24 Jan 11 10:45
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root        16 Jan 11 10:45 ->

I think what broke my R was replacing the official r-package with this one.

Confirmation: Replaced this package with the r-package in Manjaro's official extra repo. Now R and RStudio works again.

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.57.0
Qt Version: 5.12.3
Kernel Version: 5.0.9-2-MANJARO
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
Memory: 7.7 GiB of RAM

Edits: Typography.

Edit: Typo.

Please add ncurses5-compat-libs as a dependency, as it is still compiled with ncurses5 while arch moved to ncurses6.

Hash value of microsoft-r-open-3.5.0.tar.gz has been changed

Microsoft changed the download url, that's why you get the invalid hash and the missing directory errors.
Fixed in pkgrel 2.

- makepkg complains about invalid hash of the main tarball downloaded.
- If replacing correct hashes in PKGBUILD, it crashes claiming being unable to cd to microsoft-r-open subdirectory

microsoft-r-open is now in archlinuxcn repository. A watcher bot will automatically sync all updates here in AUR into the repository.

Server =$arch
## or use a CDN (beta)
#Server =$arch
## or install archlinuxcn-mirrorlist-git and use the mirrorlist
#Include = /etc/pacman.d/archlinuxcn-mirrorlist

Once the repo is added, archlinuxcn-keyring package must be installed before installing this package.

You're right Scimmia and thanks for the suggestion. I've removed the extra dep and updated MRO to 3.3.2 which was released today.

Scimmia commented on 2016-11-22 03:08

Please use bsdtar to extract the rpms, the same way makepkg already does. No need to pull in an extra dep for a useless wrapper script.
