@KatStuffs that's not how the PKGBUILD provides work https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PKGBUILD#provides . It provides 'melonds' so other packages, like say, a stable 'melonds' package, or perhaps an alternative melonds-git package can check against it. It's standard practice for these to be all lowercase.

The provides label is not associated with the binary name(s) that the package generates.

Once built this provides "melonDS" not "melonds"

melonDS no longer depends on GTK3 or glib, so you can remove that dependency from the PKGBUILD.

Seems like this now depends on libslirp.

@E3LDDfrK Looks like JIT got merged into master, https://github.com/Arisotura/melonDS/pull/667 So this package will now function the same as what melonds-git-jit did.

E3LDDfrK commented on 2020-07-26 04:46

Anyone knows what happened to the melonds-git-jit package?

Hey @zetty_master I don't think I need to move romlist.bin ~/.config/melonds. The CMake script appears to be installing it to /usr/share/melonDS, and it seems to be loading it fine?

zetty_master commented on 2019-08-20 16:57

This needs to copy the romlist.bin into .config/melonds/ else savegames will silently default to 8kb, also @klore that is the path where you want to put your firmware and bios.

For anyone who wants a desktop entry, add this to the package()

desktop-file-install "$srcdir/${_gitname}"/flatpak/net.kuribo64.melonds.desktop --dir "$pkgdir"/usr/share/applications/
install -Dm644 "$srcdir/${_gitname}"/icon/melon_256x256.png "$pkgdir"/usr/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/net.kuribo64.melonds.png

I think this needs cmake as makedep.
