Hi,

Just to let you know I've installed dvbsky-dvb-drivers from the repo mentioned below, and it works just great on my S952 - many thanks!

Hey guys! We've been working on a new approach to build the necessary modules. Instead of building the whole media-build tree containing a lot of unneeded modules we just compile the modified ones leading to a smaller packet and more up to date drivers. It even compiles faster!
It'd be nice if you could test the following PKGBUILD: https://github.com/VDR4Arch/vdr4arch/tree/master/drivers . Of course you only need to install dvbsky-dvb-drivers. I can only test it with a S952 which works perfectly here. It should work on all DVBSky products.

Cheers,
olebowle

You're welcome. :)

Many thanks for updating with the patch, this was keeping me on 3.9 :)

You're right. I chose to use sit2_dvbc.o.{x64,x86} as the manual seems to suggest that these object files _also_ support the DVB-C version. I can't test it though. Hopefully someone with a T9580 can test it and give some feedback. My S952 also seems to work just fine.

The version in the PKGBUILD no longer seems to exist. I used http://www.dvbsky.net/download/linux/media_build-bst-130520.tar.gz (md5sum 3396b2b8cd66f9c7536bb63d526cf5c9). With this version cx23885-core.patch no longer seems needed. I also inserted "cp v4l/sit2.o.x64 v4l/sit2.o" following the line "cd "${srcdir}/media_build-bst"" in prepare(). This obviously isn't the best way to do it, but just for myself I couldn't be bothered to do it properly! It all seems to work fine for a S952 on linux 3.9.3-1
