It's been a while since I've been able to work on this and it might be a while yet before I use it again actively, although I do still have an interest. If anybody else is interested in jumping on as co-maintainer I'm happy to add. Also I'll accept PRs against this repo if anybody has build changes they have confirmed work.

@caleb, sure! There are a few other things that need fixing. Cheers!

Thanks @flacks, I've updated those things. Hey if you have an interest in co-maintaining this I can probably add you. I'm not very active on Mastadon right now and it might be good to have another pair of hands on board.

@jokke git is assumed in this case, the packaging guidelines specifically say not to include it explicitly.

@caleb @lesderid to fix the current build issue, you need to change the end of the command in build() from "rails assets:precompile" to "rake mastodon:setup".

Hi! protobuf is missing as a build dependency.

lesderid commented on 2018-05-23 05:32

Fails to build for me with:

==> Starting build()...
rails aborted!
KeyError: key not found: "OTP_SECRET"
/home/lesderid/mastodon-git/src/mastodon/config/environments/production.rb:104:in `fetch'

Still doesn't work?

rails not found

Any progress at all on this?

caleb commented on 2017-04-08 08:37

Thanks @woodape. I'm still hacking on this but it's such a mess it might be a week or two before it doesn't just spew garbage into a tar file ;-) For now I'm only committing bits that I'm confident make sense. When the package release number hits >= 1 then there will at least be an expectation of it producing a working package so that will be the time to start testing it.
