I've found this package from viewing freefilesync maintainer's package, I don't know if anyone is using this or not yet (I'm not), just wanted to get a heads up on a new version (although new version is more than two years old, too).

The package (sadly) doesn't work for me. I'm getting the following error:

    app = appgui()

Also: could you please use gksudo instead of gksu (This package is the only òne where I'm getting asked my root password and not my own, so I usually don't remember it)? Alternatively I would also be ok with adding a symlink to the (executable) python script in /usr/bin by adding the following lines to the package() function:

chmod a+x ${pkgdir}/usr/share/${pkgname}/
ln -s ${pkgdir}/usr/share/${pkgname}/ ${pkgdir}/usr/bin/${pkgname}

Here's an updated PKGBUILD for version 2.5.11

I've also added an .install file to remove optimized *.pyc files on removal and upgrade.

I'm getting timeouts too, the authors server is not very reliable. I'll see if i can switch to the sourceforge servers.

It can no longer download the file (403 forbidden)

Sorry this took so long, i was on holiday and additionally there is a bug with the latest version of mkaurball preventing me to create the new one.
Anyway it is now updated ;)

@ theOptimizedCode

I'm assuming your upgrading. When i was testing this i removed the older installed version before i installed the new one, so i never encountered these errors.

The file layout is completely changed wit the latest version so i've edited the PKGBUILD and added the older version to the conflicts. This should fix the problem for anyone upgrading the package.
