@shadoukun: I disowned the packages, so you can adopt them.

@shadoukun: I have disowned linux-surface4. You can maintain that if you want.

I just started a repo for a kernel for the surface book/sp4 (probably going to update it to 4.12.8 today)

I could start maintaining the surface4 packages if you can't anymore. :)

@freaknils, I have tapping working in multiple DEs/WMs. Where necessary I put "xinput --set-prop 'Microsoft Surface Type Cover Touchpad' 'libinput Tapping Enabled' 1" into the relevant config files. I haven't actually had any problems with the WiFi cutting out. The computer never wakes from sleep and usually fails to restore fully from hibernation. The type cover still stops working once detached (though I'm not clear this works in ARCH 4.11.2 either.) On a minor note, the Caps Lock LED must (for me) be manually enabled with "(sudo) kbd_mode -u".

@freaknils, left click by tapping works for me but I had to enable it in GNOME settings. Unsure for other DEs or WMs.

@SuperBo, I can confirm that the WiFi stops working after 5-20mins, requiring a reboot, as per @freaknils' report.

I mean the archlinux kernel in version 4.10.13-1.

What do you mean about "mainline kernel"? Arch kernel or linux-surface4.

Maybe this is due to the touch driver. Because this kernel is just differ from arch-kernel-lts by ipts touch and typecover driver.

Currently I have these issues:
- the wireless card stops working after about 20 minutes, this needs a reboot
- the right click button on the pen does not effect a right click
- suspend an hibernate does not work, the notebook does not wake up
- the left click just by tipping the touch pad does not work, in arch mainline kernel this is working fine.

@SuperBo: Thanks that worked for me.
I have build a PKBUILD for this. If someone need it, please email me.
