I have now a problem with detecting jni.h:

checking for jni.h... no
configure: error: "Could not find jni.h"

But java is indeed installed:

$ locate jni.h
/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk/include/jni.h

Could you remove the documentation? Depending on latex
is just plain insanity.
