@araruna You could install it from https://github.com/archlinuxcn/repo. Try downgrade java if you wanna build it from this PKGBUILD.

@maucejo, could you provide the PKGBUILD publicly or take over the package?

maucejo commented on 2020-05-10 13:50

Hi, McLenin. First, thanks for the package. I have written the PKGBUILD for version 4.0.1. If you have plan to update the package, I can sent it you.

vloup commented on 2018-03-10 17:16

Are there any plans to update it to 3.3.8? I locally increased the version number and it fixes any problems I had with Java 9. If you are upgrading it, I'd fix the typo on the first line (Maintainer) and move to sha512sums for file checksums.

Thanks for the packaging.

Added the texlive-langcyrillic as an optional extra. It's a slightly strange place for the required file to be, and I really didn't notice it, thanks for the heads up @aphirst.

I should have reported this here earlier, but it seems that in order for latex rendering to work, yet another dependency is required, namely texlive-langcyrillic.

I was discussing this several months ago in https://github.com/arnobl/latexdraw/issues/5 and this is only coming to my attention once again since I'm setting up my workspace on a new Arch box.

The underlying issue, as indicated by a tooltip error hovering on a latex item which doesn't render, is that "File `mathtext.sty' not found." As far as I can tell, strange as it seems, this file is contained in texlive-langcyrillic, so barring any other suggestions, this should probably be another (optional?) dependency of this package.

The install file can go away. pacman hooks do the trick.

McLenin commented on 2015-09-15 16:23

Thank you for the heads up aphirst. I suspect this issue went unnoticed since most users of this software probably have the whole latex-most group installed.

In view of the discussion at https://sourceforge.net/p/latexdraw/bugs/206/ , maybe it might be a good idea to add `texlive-latexextra` to the optional dependencies? Just a suggestion, though.
