The new official version is on CTAN and part of TeX Live:

It’s not yet part of TeXLive2019, though.

For pikaur the directory is

so just copy your .zip files you can download here (authentication required):

into the latex-tuddesign folders in the build directory and retry, at least that worked for me. If there are no folders present its probably because pikaur cleans them up, so just create them or insert the files while pikaur just failed and is waiting for your input to retry etc.

@moonlies: Thanks. This workaround worked.

For pacaur the build directory is ~/.cache/pacaur/latex-tuddesign

If you have problems installing because is missing in the build directory, try downloading the zip from here (unfortunately password protected)
And place it in the build directory usually at /tmp/yaourt-tmp-yourusername/aur-latex-tuddesign. Since TU restricts public access, there is no way to do this automatically for now, at least not with yaourt or without making someones credentials public...

Please consider updating the source URL to the changed (in 2016) version mentioned here: <>

(For tuddesign-thesis this is not necessary, because they changed nothing)

@crabman: I've created a package 'latex-tuddesign-fonts'.

crabman commented on 2011-02-18 16:36

could you make a package for the fonts, too? You could mention that this will only be installable from within the TUD-network in the description, without these fonts the packages are quite useless.

btw: i made a similar package with exactly the same name a year ago but never published it because of the fonts issue. I was quite surprised seeing yaourt wanting to update this package today...
