Solved
cd /usr/lib sudo ln -s libpcap.so.1 libpcap.so.0.8 lantern
try add a symlink to workaround:) sudo ln -s /usr/lib64/libpcap.so /usr/lib64/libpcap.so.0.8

home/[username]/.lantern/bin/lantern: error while loading shared libraries: libpcap.so.0.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Same problems as Crablet

I'm afraid I don't know how to help you. Try rebuilding lantern from source, but good luck with that (unless they improved the process, which I doubt).

Got this error: /home/username/.lantern/bin/lantern: error while loading shared libraries: libpcap.so.0.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have checked my libpcap's version and found it was 1.10.0. Are there any solutions?

please update to latest version, thx.

ps:
for other user. from here(https://github.com/getlantern/lantern-binaries/commits/master) , you can get the latest version of lantern, including sha256sum. then update the PKGBUILD your self with the cimmitID and sha256sum strings, then use `makepkg` to package pkg.tar.xz file, last, use `sudo pacman -U xxx.pkg.tar.xz` to install you lantern.

sorry, to my poor English.

Hi:

You can use a fixed commit hash to maintain a fixed version of the installer.

Change source_x86_64 to 'https://raw.githubusercontent.com/getlantern/lantern-binaries/a670218333229bd7dd5955ad6cc17f2ebe534e68/lantern-installer-64-bit.deb', then this package will build successfully.

Have to change sha1sums in PKGBUILD manually for this package to be built.
