They released 18.7.1 formally which has no linux benefits (android platform). Try building that. I expect a pre18.8 patch to get queued up anytime.

This time it's kodi-wayland-devel fails. I believe that the whole log is too big, but of coure I can post it. And yes, as recommended I'm building with ccache, but it's clean — I ran ccache -c to ensure

@asm0dey - I could use the epoch= .. upstream adds and removes patches as well as redefines releases. I built this (just x11) without error. Which target (gbm, x11, or wayland) gave you that error? Further, you need to post the entire build log as errors typically occur 1,000s of lines above that. Also, are you building with ccache again?

I'm slightly disappointed you're continuing to downgrade versions :(

But anyways current version doesn't build with error:

[ 97%] Linking CXX static library network_httprequesthandlers.a
[ 97%] Built target network_httprequesthandlers
make: *** [Makefile:161: all] Error 2
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting...

@asm0dey - PR#17300 was accidentally deleted. Try 18.7pre15. It built for me. https://gist.github.com/graysky2/6aab643d980cc511619b1ab2fafb634a

Well, now fails for me in absolutely clean environment:

  -> Applying patch 013-PR17598.patch...
Checking patch xbmc/profiles/ProfileManager.cpp...
error: while searching for:
  // Load initial window
  int firstWindow = g_SkinInfo->GetFirstWindow();

  // the startup window is considered part of the initialization as it most likely switches to the final window
  bool uiInitializationFinished = firstWindow != WINDOW_STARTUP_ANIM;

  CServiceBroker::GetGUI()->GetWindowManager().ChangeActiveWindow(firstWindow);

  // if the user interfaces has been fully initialized let everyone know
  if (uiInitializationFinished)
  {
    CGUIMessage msg(GUI_MSG_NOTIFY_ALL, WINDOW_SETTINGS_PROFILES, 0, GUI_MSG_UI_READY);
    CServiceBroker::GetGUI()->GetWindowManager().SendThreadMessage(msg);
  }
}

@asm0dey - Builds fine in a buildroot for me, https://gist.github.com/graysky2/e7c27674df8f9e7322e132de9fe47e1e

Might have something to do with your ccache (I believe you use that).

Now I think if it will break my repo ;)

@asm0dey - Technically I could have added an epoch= but I think there are so few users of this package that it doesn't matter.
