That works perfectly @graysky. Thank you.

@munfcrief - Sorry about that... -6 should fix it.

Unfortunately the "src/xbmc does not exist" error persists in package release 5.

I have the same problem with package release 4 as @asm0dey. I can set "_sse_workaround=0" to get around the reverse patch warning, but the "src/xbmc does not exist" error persists. However there is a "src/xbmc-19.0b2-Matrix" directory so I wonder if it's some type of name mismatch.

Package release 1 and 3 compile fine on my system, and they also have the "src/xbmc-19.0b2-Matrix" directory instead of "src/xbmc"

Better yet, build in a clean chroot with devtools.

Builds fine, see:

@graysky I have the same error as oddsocks and davemds, using makepkg without an AUR helper. Issue could only be resolved by installing spdlog on my system with pacman. Any ideas?

graysky commented on 2020-12-25 09:55

@oddsocks - Try building with makepkg not yay. AUR helpers do more hindering than helping. Better yet, build in a clean chroot with devtools.

Hi, just running into the same problem as davemds:

[ 8%] Building CXX object build/network/httprequesthandler/python/CMakeFiles/network_httprequesthandlers_python.dir/HTTPPythonInvoker.cpp.o
In file included from /home/dave/aur2/kodi-devel/src/xbmc-19.0b2-Matrix/xbmc/interfaces/legacy/Exception.h:12,

   25 | #include <spdlog/spdlog.h>
      | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
compilation terminated.

Just wanting to find out what I'm doing wrong. I can see that the build dependency for spdlog is being pulled in with the build. Could it be the aur wrapper (using yay)? Thanks for the help

Thank you @graysky, it works perfectly now.
