64-bit users, remember that you have to install the lib32 package corresponding to your GPU. It's one of the lib32-mesa or lib32-nvidia-utils packages.

Also, PulseAudio users must install lib32-libpulse and lib32-alsa-plugins for the sound to work.

lib32-alsa-plugins is not a hard dependency, libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so is dynamically loaded only if PulseAudio is in use. That's why it is listed as an optional dependency, "for PulseAudio users", see this wiki page.

Looks like a dependency on lib32-alsa-plugins is missing. Otherwise, there's no sound and the following error message is displayed in the console:

ALSA lib dlmisc.c:339:(snd_dlobj_cache_get0) Cannot open shared library libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so (/usr/lib32/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

Hello. As this is not compiled from source, please move this package over to kega-fusion-bin. Also, please switch the source URLs from http:// to https://

@remussatala: Most likely no Mesa backend installed, see pinned comments.

kega-fusion libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast /usr/bin/kega-fusion: line 25: 2149 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $kega_libdir/Fusion "$@"

When trying to run kega-fusion after installing, the window appears to partly render, but none of the menu options appear, and the title remains "Unnamed Window". This window can only be killed by CTRL+C in the terminal or with xkill.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

@trya

wow you were SUPER quick on that. wow. glad I could help a little. :)

only reason I found out is setting up a friend's machine that wanted it.

Urls updated, also, files are now checked against sha256 checksums.

carpeludum is "down for maintenance", mentioning something about abuse.

you can find Fusion363x.tar.gz and Plugins(Linux).tar.gz at:

ftp://ftp.slackware.org.uk/slacky/slackware-13.0/games/kega-fusion/3.63x/src/Fusion363x.tar.gz

ftp://ftp.slackware.org.uk/slacky/slackware-13.0/games/kega-fusion/3.63x/src/Plugins(Linux).tar.gz

the md5sums are the same. All you have to do is change the name from PluginsLinux.tar.gz to Plugins(Linux).tar.gz

Hopefully carpeludum comes up soon.
