@FredBezies Okay thanks. Just thought you might have heard something as the maintainer of the Arch version. :P

@strit : no need to flag this package as out-of-date. For your sound problem, just ask upstream. I'm only trying to keep it updated. I have no infos from developers.

Strit commented on 2014-10-21 09:29

When is the new version coming, where the mono sound is fixed?
Launchpad said expected on 2014-09-01, which is 1 and a half month ago.

Kazam is now up-to-date : version 1.4.5, uploaded on 18 august 2014.

FredBezies commented on 2014-08-23 06:20

Adopting it. Will update it soon.

This appears to need pulseaudio running, which is a shame :-( Should probably be added as a dependency.

During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:

Some modifications :

1) Kazam is now in version 1.4.4
2) No need to add -0ubuntu1 anymore
3) correct patch lines :

Sorry, I flagged out of date because I had a bug, that should have been fixed in an earlier release. Excuse me.

Here are the changes I needed to make to use the 1.4.2 release. Note that it now uses python 3, not 2 so a lot of the dependencies have changed. A couple of todos:

- I don't know which specific gst-* packages are required (we need to dig in and work out which ones have the neccessary codecs) - they are all listed for now.
- There are errors about missing AppIndicator3 and Keybinder, but it seems to work for me without these.
