@aasoft Because the debugger you have is a pirated jlink debugger, and segger's jlink driver will block any pirated jlink debugger in recent driver(I don't know what's the exact version).So for pirated jlink, you should use old driver.

In case anyone has the same issues as I have, there is a serious problem in J-link 6.20:

Downgrade to the previous version until this is fixed by SEGGER.

Please, when there is a new version available, allow me at least 24h to upload a new package…

Sorry, I don't have an i686 machine to test on.
Should be corrected!

ivanovp commented on 2017-04-14 16:58

It does not work for i686 target:

==> Starting package()...
cp: cannot stat 'x86': No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().

6.14c introduced major modifications for some ARM-OB. You should get in touch with to have proper support.

I have an J-Link ARM-OB STM32 that I got from PINE64 ( and it stopped working with v6.14c. It worked fine with v6.14b and possibly the previous version (I dont remember if I've had the previous version installed before).

The issue is reproducible on Windows as well, and I believe it to be an issue with the segger software rather than the AUR package, but I just wanted to point it out in case anyone else runs into this.

The actual error I am seeing is as below, and shows up within seconds after running the JLinkGDBServer executable:
*** J-Link V6.14c J-Link V6.14c Warning ***
The connected J-Link is defective. Proper operation cannot be guaranteed.
