jdk-devel E: Dependency ffmpeg-compat detected and not included (libraries ['usr/lib/ffmpeg-compat/libavcodec.so.53', 'usr/lib/ffmpeg-compat/libavformat.so.53'] needed in files ['usr/lib/jvm/java-9-jdk/lib/amd64/libavplugin-53.so'])

EDIT2:

also need ffmpeg-compat-54 for usr/lib/jvm/java-9-jdk/lib/amd64/libavplugin-54.so

EDIT3: libnet is not need because is include in the package

Still exists in b43. Definitely makes sense.

Now, if I would only understand the reasoning behind separating configs in both conf/ and lib/...

E: Should have known these guys have a decent mailing list as well (that took 3 minutes to find?). In fact, it's the OpenJDK one:

" - The user-editable configuration files in the "lib" subdirectory have
been moved to the new "conf" directory."

They apparently merged the jre/ folder with the root structure in b41.

B40 is what they still show on the site, so maybe this was an 'accident', but seems much more logical: https://jdk9.java.net/download/

ls: cannot access jre/bin/: No such file or directory
ln: failed to create symbolic link 'jre/lib/security/cacerts': No such file or directory

greetings

Right, it works with previous build.
Tried a (random) one, b11, and with that copy/pasting images through clipboard works, but then drag&drop of file doesn't.
Clearly this is not a package related issue, maybe I'll try to track it down and report on the forum.

That could be a bug in the latest build, but it should be granted through “permission java.awt.AWTPermission "accessClipboard";” which I set in the PKGBUILD:

- http://slightlyrandombrokenthoughts.blogspot.com/2011/03/oracle-java-applet-clipboard-injection.html

If clipboard otherwise works (copying text), then the name has probably changed (although it doesn't seem like it: http://download.java.net/jdk9/docs/api/java/awt/AWTPermission.html).

You could try some of the earlier builds: http://download.java.net/jdk9/archive/

Hi, thank you for this package.
It solves many issues I had with previous jre under awesome wm
- windows are correctly redrawn when switching workspace (tag)
- drag and drop of file and folder into java app now works
- no more glitches in menu

I had one regression too,
- I cannot copy/paste images from clipboard, which works if I switch back to jre8
this should be not configuration related, I tried overwriting /etc and /usr policy files with the ones from jre8 without success
