Need to add jdk8-openjdk to makedepends, and modify the build line as such JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk ant release, else compilation fails.

Finally fixed the build and submitter bug upstream.

The package that friend @peeeee made available showed that it works here very well! Is there an update that output shows an error, could I fix it?

I have probably similiar problem to xorxcel when trying to build javahelp2. Output:

[javac] warning: [options] bootstrap class path not set in conjunction with -source 1.4
[javac] error: Source option 1.4 is no longer supported. Use 1.6 or later.
[javac] error: Target option 1.4 is no longer supported. Use 1.6 or later.

My javac --version gives me 9.0.1.

@xorxcel can you describe what was going wrong?

I also had problems building it, until I explicitly installed jdk8-openjdk.
I only had jdk9-openjdk installed before that, which this pkgbuild doesn't seem to be compatible to.

Was dropbox site actually down?
Why did you upload an unsigned package but not the sources? I wouldn't trust this. Otherwise, RTFM
Why MS drive of all places?

In case anyone can't get the javahelp2.tar.xz , here is a makepkg-ed executive package :!AtjsNyKHoIUajRM9PDM9AkNaUf_X ,you can just download it and intall from local disk.

@hormol Maybe check if your system is configured correctly? Helpful link:
Also it seems, that you shouldn't normally have JAVA_HOME variable even set in Arch...

I also need javahelp2 for building scilab. While compiling it I got
build-impl.xml:283: Unable to find a javac compiler; is not on the classpath.
Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK.
It is currently set to "/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk/jre"
export JAVA_HOME...does give nothing.
Any ideas ?
