Thank god this exists, the intellij community in the official repos uses jdk11 which just breaks everything, and it doesn't persistently change the boot jdk when you change it

Font rendering works with this package (JBR 8) when setting _JAVA_OPTIONS='-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=lcd'

For those wondering, this includes JetBrains Runtime (JBR) 8. The download URL for JBR 11 is${pkgver}-jbr11.tar.gz

So this one comes with its own JDK? that means I don't need to install jdk separately? right ?

@mqs Strongly agree, since this package is not providing Early Access Program anyway.

is it possible to rename the link to the binary in /usr/bin by removing the -eap part? If not, then intellij-idea-ce and intellij-idea-ce-eap are conlicting packages. I don't think there are many that have both the ce-eap and the normal ce installed but I just noticed by accident that these two had the same name in the console

@NobbZ Good point. Fixed.

NobbZ commented on 2018-02-14 11:02

So this package contains the JetBrains JRE, but why does it still depend on java-environment?

amrhassan commented on 2017-07-27 15:29

@Det No particular reason.

Det commented on 2017-07-27 15:05

Why is it not intellij-idea-ce-bundled-jre?
