The issues with building this should be resolved with latest 2017.1.171.4073.28-1 version.
@rgcv: I can't check it as I use Ultimate - can anyone else confirm this?

If you're having troubles, change the package version in PKGBUILD to:

I found that the .desktop file contains a small issue (found on Gnome, not sure about other *DEs). Instances of IntelliJ weren't being grouped with the app bookmarked on the doc.

Changing the StartupWMClass from `jetbrains-idea' to `jetbrains-idea-ce' appears to be the solution.

@Magotchi: thanks for the heads up. I usually build one of the two packages (ultimate) and perform the same changes on the other. Apologies for that - updating now.

Magotchi commented on 2016-10-21 14:19

The PKGBUILD now has a typo on lines 33 and 34.
It says "${_verextra}-.tar.gz" (extra hyphen before period) when it should say "${_verextra}.tar.gz" on both of those lines.

Thanks, as always, for your hard work in keeping these IDEA PKGBUILDs updated.

Hi! Thanks for the package. Q: shouldn't the last line be
ln -s "${pkgdir}/opt/${pkgname}/bin/" "${pkgdir}/usr/bin/idea-ce-eap"

Unofficial update here [1], untested.

Please update manually the package as it won't come up as an update with AUR helpers. Upstream changes on version numbers [0].

It generally does, however I would personally just like to remove the JDK completely from the package because it takes a lot of disk space that sums up if you have almost all JetBrains IDEs installed.

Hi Bow thanks for the suggestions. I can look at switching to HTTPS. As for the other suggestion would the pinned comment from Magotchi help in the Ultimate edition EAP ( ?
