May I ask what's the purpose of this package? As far as I can tell it can't be used to precompile templates.

I don't agree, they provide 2 different things. This package was originally meant to provide handlebars on it's own. You asked me to add the binary that is already provided in the nodejs-handlebars package (I should have checked this first). I think the best thing to do is for me to revert this package to it's original state, and for you to instead install the nodejs-handlebars package.

I do not care which one, I just need the one that works. I can take care of this AUR if do not have time.

And btw there should be only one 'handlebars' package. Either nodejs-handlebars or handlebars should be removed.

Updated to use tagged binary.
@anatolik, there is another AUR package specifically for node (nodejs-handlebars) which might suit you better?

bin/handlebars has changed in master so now we have

==> Validating source files with md5sums...
handlebars.js ... Passed
handlebars ... FAILED

tagged binary file should be used

Have added nodejs and nodejs-optimist as optional dependencies, and corrected permissions on binary

Hi, wrt your recent changes:

- handlebars should be marked as executed file, currently it has 644 permissions
- 'handlebars' bin should be put into /usr/bin so it can be executed from shell. Build tools e.g. rethinkdb expects that 'hanlebars' in PATH.
- I really do not understand their release current verisioning, they released both 1.0.11 and 1.0.0.rc4
- The binary file requires 'optimist' Optimist not in AUR yet.

Updated to version 1.0.0-rc4, and added missing binary

anatolik commented on 2013-05-17 05:35

The package should also install binary file

rethinkdb requires this binary
