@Firefox79 that doesn't seem to have worked...

@billodwyer: run qtconfig-qt4 and select any other theme than GTK+ or Desktop Settings. Save and the start Guitar Pro.

Installed and reinstalled a few times... Had to chown /dev/snd/seq and put a symlink to /lib/libz.so.1.2.8 to get it to run.
Every time I start it running and an error dialogue comes up saying: "gp build with Qt: 4.6.3 run with Qt: 4.6.2" and then a terminal error saying "Segmentation fault (core dumped)"

I've got no idea what to do now!

After a reboot I'm getting a segmentation fault and I have no idea how to fix it... Any thoughts?

Great stuff, works perfectly ^_^

As a side note, I did have to chown /dev/snd/seq in case this helps anybody in the future :)

lib32-fontconfig is required for multilib and program start.
It may be useful to add it as a dependency.

This works nice, but all checkboxes in the application are invisible and thus unclickable for me. Strange thing... Does anyone else have this problem?

gksu is required for soundbanks adding.
It may be useful to add it as a dependency.

This worked well for me, skip down to section 8:

@Shockrates:
I have the same problem in my 64bit Arch, the solution that I found is install the soundbanks in a Windows system, then copy the installed files to the Guitar Pro directory in Linux. I made a .7z file with the extracted soundbanks files so if I reinstall my system I can install the soundbanks without the help of a Windows system.
