Yeah. I had to remove the plugins that does not work.

IMDB changes how their API works all the time, so it's the plugins that breaks most often. If you know how to fix it, please make a MR on the source link.

@Strit Thank you.

A couple more things. i) Imdb plugin doesn't fetch the plot ((maybe this one is more of IMDB's fault) ii) it doesn't fetch original title (that is, it will use the title in the language you searched with for both title and original title) iii) Many plugins for fetching movies are missing. Of course, many of them didn't work anyway, but for example, the DVDfr plugin for griffith 0.13 works (with griffith 0.13) and is missing.

@kde35 Thanks for the heads up. Done.

I think you should add python-mysql-connector and/or python-mysqlclient as optional dependency. c.f. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1879611#p1879611

No problem, I'll let you know if it all goes to hell. :)

I find it unnecessary to continue as a maintainer of this package when it is Strit who has done all the work and effort to get this new version and update of a program that was abandoned.

@Strit I abandon the package and I leave you in front. Thanks for the job.

If you need help sometime around here, I'll go.

My best regards.

Sure. My coding skills are not very good, but I can help keep the PKGBUILD fixed as good as I can. :)

@Strit:

Thank you once again for your contribution.

- Would you like to be involved in the maintenance of this package? I add you in seconds.

Best regards,
ValHue

Found the fix.
Edit /usr/share/griffith/lib/movie.py line 156.
Change www.griffith.cc to something always online like www.google.com.
Save file and launch griffith. Web fetches now works.

Reason. www.griffith.cc does not exist anymore, so the code believed it did not have internet access.
