Just a heads up for new or uninformed users, git packages don't go out of date due to new releases. The latest commits are always pulled each time you build. Either build manually or use an AUR helper with proper VCS support (like yay) in order to update.

Out of date flag should only be used if something is broken.

Thanks for the keeping up the great work on this package.

The launcher currently shows up as "gpmdp" in my start menu, is this intended behavior?
Otherwise, the .desktop file should be changed to the following:

Name[en_US]=Google Play Music Desktop Player

Not showing up under Sound & Video on Gnome, change the category in the desktop file to the following.

Rename incoming. Will also include desktop file fix. New package will be gpmdp-git.

Installed with yaourt on bspwm-manjaro. Works fine! Has trouble closing but that's an open issue on the source GitHub.
However, the .desktop MimeType association is text/plain. The app probably shouldn't have a MimeType, and it definitely shouldn't be text/plain. Current default behaviour overrides my text editor to launch an unclosable music player when I mean to edit txt or csv. Yikes...

It built fine for me, though I might have missed that error message. Went ahead and updated the version number now that the build is fixed.

The DNS error is still occurring for me, even though I just re-build it today with the latest from git. :(

At least it built, though!

I'll keep an eye on the CircleCI builds. Once those are fixed, I'll make sure this package builds, too. Thanks for looking into that.

Desktop file modified.

EDIT EDIT: Looks like this error is because of the latest push to 'master'. Builds are failing in CI too.

Hey, Brian - slowbro from github here. I tried re-installing as you suggested, but ran into this error:

I re-installed nodejs and npm to make sure they are latest (they are), but the error did not go away.

Edit: tried with just plain ol' makepkg and got the same error.
Full makepkg output:

Can you add "StartupWMClass=Google Play Music Desktop Player" to the .desktop file.
