Package is up to date. Upstream is simply not working on it anymore, which is quite different.

Do NOT flag it as out of date unless a new tag is available upstream. Thank you.

As an anonymous user pointed out, you should probably use raccoon which is more actively developed.

By default, yaourt compiles to /tmp.

Yes, my computer has 16Gb of RAM and a SSD, so I prefer to compile on RAM and not to write to the SDD when it is unnecessary.

After test, it's the BUILDIR variable which causes problems. makepkg seems to copy the source files to $BUILDIR/<package>, but it doesn't copy the PKGBUILD. I suggest that you unset BUILDDIR and everything should be all right. Did you set it on purpose ?

Strange, I use it too. Could you give me your makepkg.conf?

JanusDC commented on 2014-11-07 22:49

I use yaourt. Then, when it gave me the error, I downloaded the PKGBUILD and files and used makepkg. Since I got the same error, I did the modifs I just described.

Yamakaky commented on 2014-11-07 22:07

(tip : you can also put "SKIP" in sha1sums)

What is you setup ? What commands did you run ?

JanusDC commented on 2014-11-07 22:04

I received the "Could not read ../PKGBUILD" error. So I tried to add the PKGBUILD to the files of the package, however it is not possible to calculate the sha1sum (because if I calculate it, as soon as I add it to the PKGBUILD, the sha1sum would change). Hence I had to copy PKGBUILD to PKGBUILD2 and add that file instead (modifying the line gendesk -f to gendesk -f PKGBUILD2). With these modifications I was able to install it.

Oups, sorry. Done.
