Compatibility changes starting in July 2020: Google Web Designer authoring files created prior to July 2014 (in version 1.0.5 or older) will no longer open. If you have older files, please open them with the latest version of Web Designer and save them again to ensure future compatibility.

I was able to install it from terminal.

tar -zxvf google-webdesigner.tar.gz
cd google-webdesigner
makepkg -s

but gives an error. so...

makepkg -g >> PKGBUILD
makepkg -i

and it's done!

This is unfortunately something that I can not fix in package.

https://support.google.com/webdesigner/thread/42966741?hl=en https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1773289

You can try downgrading glibc if you feel like it.

I'm also not having any luck running this package. The loading screen comes up, then a white screen, then closes. Error message as follow:

I have installed this package but it doesn't work at all. Every time it either freezes with with empty(white) window or it crashes. It produces the following output:

Sorry about that, I left old .deb package in place and the makepkg -g generated wrong sha256sum. Fixed.

hosamkora commented on 2020-04-08 15:25

if you have integrity check problem , change sha256sums key in PKGBUILD file to sha256sums=('d6c4b8e90ad60e0a6bf131f3bfdbf8ff58cd0fb1adec2b08da74af2fd98bef15') that will solve your problem

New version is up, but release notes are silent ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I am trying to install but it goes failed. Checking source files using sha256sums... google-webdesigner_current_amd64.deb ... failure ==> ERROR: Source files did not pass the integrity check! Error downloading sources: google-webdesigner
