September 17th, 2018: Some namcap cleanup. And we're blocked by google old deb package about libidn. Until there is an update, you'll have to made a symlink for libidn.

Until then, DO NOT FLAG IT as out of date. Thanks.

the options menu not appearing is a known bug, the workaround is to quit musicmanager and delete the ~/.config/google-musicmanager folder then rerun musicmanager and select an empty folder for uploading, it might complain that it can't upload anything but that can be ignored. You should know be able to open the options widow and select the correct upload and download folders.

Haven't heard anything back from google but I started up my client and it has been uploading for the past hour and seems to be working so fingers crossed.

Yep same here. I just got a response back from google saying that it was fixed. All the cert error where gone but all my uploads failed. I replied back to them with a copy of all my logs and db's so I will see what they say.

I don't see any mentions of cert issues in my .log, but I'm getting upload failures regardless:

ERROR TId 0x7f0a917fa700 Upload failed for upload id <...> reason 0 agent_rejected.

a quick google search shows a problem potentially on their end?

Ok cool. Glad it's not just me :) I opened a ticket with google and sent them the log so we will see what happens. I can't even sign in sometimes.

I'm also having cert issues. I looked over those certs in openssl and they seemed okay to me so I'm not sure what's going on unless I overlooked something.

Is anyone else having issues uploading their library? I seem to be getting a lot of cert error's. Here is just one example pulled from the google-musicmanager.log. I get a whole bunch of different ones, and basically I can't upload my library. I did an md5 check on the latest download and the deb seems to be the same.

@FredBezies Thanks for looking into the qtwebkit issue and changing the dependency back. I commented only because I personally think it's always better to depend on the mainline version of a package where possible. Depending on the mainline package is 'correct' from a packaging perspective and if there's a build issue then the user can always take the initiative to install a variant package themselves (which is what happened in this case) as a stopgap until the build issue is corrected. But that's just my opinion. :)

FredBezies commented on 2017-08-25 11:06

@Chazza: I changed depend because there were building problems. Will try to build qtwebkit asap to see if I can build it.

If there is no problem with good old qtwebit, I will modify depends line here.

Edit: got the same error as alfredo.ardito. So no changes for now.

Edit 2: got qtwebkit to build. I had to apply this patch:

Without it, no building of qtwebkit is possible.

Chazza commented on 2017-08-25 10:57

Depending on qtwebkit-bin is completely unnecessary. This package builds fine against either qtwebkit package. And as zman0900 says, qtwebkit-bin provides qtwebkit meaning that either can be used. Please change the dependency back to plain qtwebkit.

zman0900 commented on 2017-08-24 23:58

Why was this changed to depend on qtwebkit-bin? qtwebkit-bin provides qtwebkit, so before this change one could install either to satisfy dependency. I'd much rather use the local build I already have instead of installing some mystery binary.
