September 17th, 2018: Some namcap cleanup. And we're blocked by google old deb package about libidn. Until there is an update, you'll have to made a symlink for libidn.

Until then, DO NOT FLAG IT as out of date. Thanks.

the options menu not appearing is a known bug, the workaround is to quit musicmanager and delete the ~/.config/google-musicmanager folder then rerun musicmanager and select an empty folder for uploading, it might complain that it can't upload anything but that can be ignored. You should know be able to open the options widow and select the correct upload and download folders.

If you're getting an error about not being able to authorize the computer, go to the Google Play Music website, then click the menu on the left and go to Settings. Look for the "My Devices" setting and deauthorize any devices you're no longer using. After that, close out the application and launch it again. That worked for me.

@Zeros: There is NO update available. Do not flag it out of date.

Sooo, no updates for this? Says "Cannot connect to the internet" whenever it is opened.

Same problem with the login prompt (only recently, been fine until the past week or two), also already have payment details on my account.

@Lasp94 I have the same issue as you. This was working fine as recently as 26th November for me.

@DuelaDent I added a credit card but I can't login anyway

DuelaDent commented on 2019-01-11 02:36

Had a similar issue to cprn: Could not log in. Once I added a credit card as proof of geographic location on the Play web site, however, I was able to log in with music manager. Only issue is the known bug of not being able to open the options menu. Thanks, FredBezies, for maintaining this.

Removed libidn-133-compat to update the package, it updated without issues, then I installed libidn11 because it complained about missing libraries, now it opens but displays an error saying "Couldn't connect to Google Play" and "Check your internet connection and try again". Internet works fine, no firewall, no proxy. Don't know what's going on.

It doesn't work, crashes right after login before I have time for two-factor authentication and on re-launch it asks to log in again.
