@xyproto That would be awesome! (I'm not the maintainer.)

@shackra, Hi, would you mind if I adopt and move this package to [community]? No action needs to be taken on your part if you agree. Thanks for maintaining this package!

I got this error on an experimental build that bumps up the version to Godot 4, with makepkg.

@shackra: unfortunately i don't remember what was the actual error. i think this happend when i try to install it with pacaur manager. so they recommended install it with makepkg instead of pacaur. so then it installed without an error.

I've subscribed to Godot engine's Patreon!

@parodia do you have the actual error? I read the collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status part but why did ld exit with status 1?

parodia commented on 2020-09-29 08:17

unfortunately i got this error; collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status scons: *** [bin/] Error 1 scons: building terminated because of errors. ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting... :: failed to build godot package(s) what should i do?

@dleslie care to share a diff instead? I fear not having a way to test the additions may somehow introduce issues for all user later

I managed to get this to build on aarch64 with some simple PKGBUILD changes:

  1. Add aarch64 to supports archs

  2. Add an alternate match for 64bit that matches aarch64

Runs fine after that. I imagine for arm it would need arm added to the 32bit allowed list.

This is a great package, and I'd like to see it in the official community repos.
