dundee it looks like bladedglove's latest comment is still relevant. Could you incorporate that into the PKGBUILD please?

nonZero commented on 2015-05-19 18:02 is compatible with current gnome shell (3.16.2)

There is an issue opened for it:

franciscod commented on 2014-11-05 02:04

out of date upstream (doesn't support gnome 3.14), should we flag it?

If you have also problems with starting this extension after installation and cannot set its properties in Gnome Tweak Tool or you simply cannot install it from, you should try building and installing it like this:

cd ~/Downloads && git clone
cd ~/Downloads/gnome-shell-extension-sensors
make local-install

For some reason the method in PKGBUILD doesn't build the icons/locale/schemas, so leaving out ./configure --prefix=/usr and running make local-install instead of make install seem to work. This way the extension gets installed in ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/temperature@xtranophilist instead of /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/temperature@xtranophilist and the missing files/folders also get created.

Could you check and modify the PKGBUILD if necessary, dundee?

This package currently causes hangs of Gnome-shell 3.8.

intltool should be a dependency

Actuall PKGBUILD should by:

pkgdesc="Gnome Shell extension for displaying CPU temperature, hard disk temperature, voltage and CPU fan RPM in GNOME Shell"
depends=('gnome-shell' 'lm_sensors')

build() {
cd "$srcdir"
msg "Connecting to GIT server...."
if [ -d $_gitname ] ; then
cd $_gitname && git pull origin
msg "The local files are updated."
git clone $_gitroot $_gitname
msg "GIT checkout done or server timeout"

cd "$srcdir/$pkgname"
./configure --prefix=/usr

package() {
cd "$srcdir/$pkgname"
make DESTDIR="${pkgdir}" install

package renamed to gnome-shell-extension-sensors because the github repo gnome-shell-extension-cpu-temperature was also renamed

Works with Gnome 3.6 as well.
