libytnef is now a dependency

@rafaelff Thanks for the feedback. I've added the dependencies and fixed the .SRCINFO file.

However, I left pkgver() (almost) like it is, because its result matches the versioning-system the three most popular and three top-voted "...-git" AUR-packages use. I don't think that it is a good idea to break with their versioning-system unless there is a good reason.

Some suggestions:

  • git is required in makedepends and gnome-online-accounts is required in depends arrays.

  • the pkgver() could have git describe --tags | sed 's/geary-//;s/-/+/g' to result in something like 0.12.0+1009+g22ba5453, showing version etc.

  • .SRCINFO has typo in the source url extension: it ends in ".../geary.giti" (generate with makepkg --printsrcinfo > .SRCINFO)

The enchant2 patch is not required anymore and has been removed.

The enchant2 patch has been updated. The package should work with the latest master of the upstream repo now.

seems to work fine

letorbi commented on 2018-09-14 11:02

@vivaeltopo I've removed the vapi path completely from the patch, so building should work with 0.40 and 0.42 now.

vivaeltopo commented on 2018-09-09 08:31

Does no longer build with vala 0.42. the enchant patch needs to be edited with this line:

  • dirs: '/usr/share/vala-0.40/vapi/',

  • dirs: '/usr/share/vala-0.42/vapi/',

@vivaeltopo Thx for the hint. I've added itstool to the build-deps and reviewed the dependencies in general.

vivaeltopo commented on 2018-05-29 19:49

there seems to be a new dependency: "itstool" not sure if its just a build-dep
