What about this fork? Is using an older release with patches still required?

Are patches still required? What's the current status of this?

Is this patch still needed?

I see there's two fontconfig forks

Plus another fork for Visual Studio support

Here are patches for fontconfig 2.18

Even with all the tutorials on how to replicate this, nothing, literally nothing looks like the way this package and the rest of the infinality bundle is installed. Regardless of OS. Nobody has taken/forked the original Infinality upstream?

gothmog123 commented on 2017-04-04 12:54

Guys this is not maintained upstream, so is it safe to keep using this forever? Because the font substitution rules are so good, nothing looks as good as this....

Maybe there could be an initiative to create and maintain a simple font substitution package for arch?

Sorry, was busy last days. Updated, hope it works.

Is the maintainer alive?

msw1 commented on 2017-03-28 02:17

I have the same issue @hpstg

hpstg commented on 2017-03-27 18:10

I must be doing something completely wrong, because the patch file gives me a hunk #1 error and the compilation gets stuck again :(

Thank you, @arun_kpm. That helped me too!
