@Muflone: Yes, it's unfortunate for me as well. A big security breach I can't do anything about.

Muflone commented on 2018-08-11 17:25

@Vrakfall that's true, unfortunately. Old firmwares for older servers

@Muflone: Thank you for maintaining this package. :) I sense a sysadmin who still has to deal with hold IPMI versions or something along those lines. :P

You're welcome @Muflone. Anyway, FF52 will be deprecated very soon by Mozilla, so maybe in the future it became complicated to patch with modern libraries... Will see. If I can help, write me an email.

Thank you @figue, I really appreciate it

I'll update the package in the next hours to make it fully installable along with standard firefox

figue commented on 2018-08-06 19:19

@Muflone all yours :)

Muflone commented on 2018-08-05 23:53

@figue If you aren't interested in this package anymore please let me maintain it, I use it daily for my job

figue commented on 2018-08-05 20:29

@Muflone thanks for your comments. I'll check the installation asap...

Apart question: it has some sense now, but FF52 will be deprecated very soon, so my plan is to disown this package when it happens (I don't know if also request for delete). For tests with mainstream FF version, I use a binary package that is installed in /opt, it's enough for me in that way (only for tests at work, in home I have FF61).

Muflone commented on 2018-08-05 19:30

@figue The package doesn't build from sources because of a dangling "old-configure" file in the source package. I had to remove the old-configure file in the prepare phase.

Apart this, are you interested in making this package installable along with others firefox? I use FF 61 for my daily job and FF-ESR-52 for some web applications that require Java plugins. I've built my firefox-esr-52 installable along with the standard firefox package.

@figue seeing as how this is likely the last 52.x.x release, I'll likely move on to 6x or something else sooner rather than later
