Thanks @springer, I updated the package to use that fork.

This fork here works for me with the current evolution 3.30.4: https://github.com/zsugabubus/evolution-on

Unfortunately, it doesn't work on Evolution 3.30.2. It makes Evolution run in background when closed yet no new mail notifications are displayed. Closing produces a lot of gjs errors (Nov 14 03:40:03 joasis gjs[1401]: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed).

It seems to be random. Sometimes the mail icon shows on Evolution startup, sometimes it doesn't. I found what happened now is when booting with the latest LTS kernel, the icon shows, while when booting with the latest kernel (non-LTS), the icon does not show.

If you are using gnome, you need to install topicons plus (gnome shell extension) to get icon to show up. This plugin makes my evolution perfect.I have find this plugin for a lot of time.I want to give guys a lot of stars if i can.
