This is not out of date - the latest and final version of emby-unlocked is

jellyfin is the successor.

I was able to get version running with the patch in the emby-server-dev-unlocked AUR package provided by nicolahinssen. I had to use msbuild (msbuild-stable AUR package) instead of xbuild and recreate the connectionmanager.js with the instructions provided by nvllsvm in his emby-unlocked github repository. @nvllsvm, is there any chance you will update this package? If not, I am willing to help out since you are probably quite busy with Jellyfin (great initiative!).

@dibbus: I've simply changed arch to any and build it on x86_64. Then copied the package over to my XU4. Works like a charm for two month now.

I was unable to do a successful 'makepkg' on my Raspberry Pi 3B because 'xbuild' was failing. Eventually I built it on my 'x86_64' machine with 'export CARCH=armv7h'. This created an installable package; it now works like a charm!

@jnko: Did you build the package on your Odroid or did you create it on a x86_64 machine?

@IncredibleLaser - Thanks, updated the package. Purposefully left out i686 until someone complains.

IncredibleLaser commented on 2018-06-29 12:17

Don't use the 'any' architecture for packages that compile code a given architecture. When you distribute this built package, it will be marked as valid for all architectures, even though it's only for the one it was compiled for. 'any' is for stuff like documentation, data in /usr/share/ and interpreted programs that are not compiled. Just add 'armv7h' to the architecture array like "arch=('x86_64' 'i686' 'armv7h')".

Any chance to get this for other arch too? (armv7h)

I build the package with 'any' arch and it really works fine on my Odroid XU4 with a huge Movie and Music library.

@nvllsvm thanks I see the issue raised and it's simply a bad tag, no problems.

@binhex - This package is using the source code as shared on the Emby GitHub. Seems to be a problem on their end.

This package is not installing emby 3.4.1 but is installing 3.4.0 as can be seen by the dashboard, can somebody take a look.
