@grothe6 Thanks. I was able to successfully test your patch. It's released as new version.

To fix the non-working .desktop files and offer a config option for client language:

Feature request: - Give the user the ability to choose the program language de or en

If I start wit the Desktop file, nothing happens, even not with the new version. If I start it with the following command from terminal, it works.

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/ecodms/ecodmsclient/ && ./

Also get the following error, but ecodms is working. ./ecodmsclient: /usr/lib/ no version information available (required by ./ecodmsclient)

Here is a screenshot of the desktop file

Are you starting with the desktop file? The file should be here: /opt/ecodms/ecodmsclient/

If you start /opt/ecodms/ecodmsclient/ the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to /opt/ecodms/ecodmsclient/ . In my case the file was found.

Hi, another dependency missing? /opt/ecodms/ecodmsclient/ecodmsclient: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

cmuench commented on 2020-02-07 07:45

I think the "libjpeg6-turbo" dependency is missing. A new release is published.

I've got the following error: ./ecodmsclient: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

If I execute sudo ln -s in /var/lib

I get the following error ./ecodmsclient: /usr/lib/ version `LIBJPEG_6.2' not found (required by ./ecodmsclient) ./ecodmsclient: /usr/lib/ no version information available (required by ./ecodmsclient)
