Got this error when trying to install: make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:281: src/pal/src/CMakeFiles/coreclrpal.dir/all] Error 2

That may be so, but it has nothing to do with this package or any other Arch/AUR packages. Omnisharp downloads the debugger with .NET Core itself and places it under ~/.vscode/extensions/ms-vscode.csharp-1.11.0/.debugger, it does not use the system .NET installed under /opt/dotnet.

I strongly suggest using the Omnisharp 1.12-beta2 if you can:

If you don't want to do that, you can replace the .debugger/ files with the ones from /opt/dotnet and uninstall icu57.

@gegenschall: I installed this package 3 days ago and constantly got "Debug adapter process has terminated unexpectedly" when trying to debug with vscode and omnisharp-vscode 1.11 until I installed icu57 from AUR.

Don't know about omnisharp 1.12 though

@d38: No, icu57 is not needed, as the dotnet-runtime-1.1 package links against the system icu.
Not sure why that Wiki page directs people to do that. It was never the case with the AUR package in the first place. :-)

Also that documentation you're referring to is more or less obsolete anyways, at least as soon as 1.12 of omnisharp is out.

Debugging won't work without icu57

It might be worth adding to the dependencies or at least mentioning.
