Starting with Dosbox-x 0.83.9, there is a "mount archive as a drive" option. To make it work, you'll need to add physfs as a depend.

I updated the PKGBUILD; I added an extra variable because this crapness happened

Download link is right, the version is just tagged wrong in git. That's a problem that should be resolved upstream.

/media/railgun2/.cache/yay/dosbox-x/PKGBUILD: line 19: cd: /home/redneck/.makepkg/sources/src/dosbox-x-dosbox-x-v0.82.19: No such file or directory

What does path $SRCDEST/src/dosbox-x-dosbox-x-v${pkgver} mean in your PKGBUILD?
