It's an issue with Bind 9.16. I've bumped to version 2.3.4 which fixes the issue.

During configure portion of the build, I'm getting the following error

checking for BIND 9 libraries... checking for no
configure: error: BIND 9 libraries must be installed

I have both bind and bind-tools packages installed 9.16.3-1.

Good news: DNS-OARC has taken ownership of the project, and they just released version 2.2.0 that fixes all build issues!

I have updated the package accordingly, it now builds fine.

Bind 9.13.4 significantly changed the hmac API. Making dnsperf work with the new API requires some work.

I'll try to fix it, but it's probably easier to just disable TSIG support.

I'm getting an error about isc/hmacmd5.h . Is this an unmarked dependency?

Actually, this package needs patching to build with recent bind.

Here is an updated PKGBUILD:

The patches themselves need to be extracted from the git repo at :

$ git format-patch -1 64fe6bbaf2019f444475dfbf744eb6ea4e619c19 -- contrib/dnsperf-
